The project was lead for 2 five-star hotels: Meliá Barcelona Sky and Meliá Barcelona Sarrià that belong to the Cluster Meliã Barcelona. We had to create impact and conviction through the most consumed format of the internet: the video.
The idea was to produce a series of 30 seconds capsule videos with original content that captures attention and increases the level of conviction by enhancing reservations and upselling to superior rooms.
With the material obtained from the capsule videos, we created a 2 minutes sum up video where all the hotel’s essence was summarized.
The story we wanted to tell
To understand the deepest needs of these 2 hotels and to make sure we respect the Brand’s global image and values, we submitted a series of briefings so we could then work on the scripts of the capsule videos.
These 2 hotels stand out for their privileged location and perfect fusion between design and elegance. Our challenge was to highlight all the facilities and services in a modern, fresh and dynamic way.
We also had to leave a message, that transmit emotions and achieves identification by impacting the targeted audience.

We had the chance to work both with the staff of the hotel and a couple of extras, so we could provide a more realistic and authentic image of the hotel.
We were organized in a very flexible timetable of shootings but we also had to film in a race against the clock, as we knew that the staff of the hotel was dedicating this time on its working hours.
Besides, we were shooting with professional cameras of latest generation to provide images at the height of the project, achieving great results with cinematic look.
As we were filming with different angles and perspectives, we worked on the selection of the perfect rushes resulting in a perfect combination of creative transitions, image and personality.
We played with the music that gives the right rhythm to the image. We believe that a good audio selection is the key to generate emotions and raise interest.
The result? We produced videos taking care of the colors and aesthetics of the Meliá brand.
The videos were broadcast in different formats to adapt to the used support.
It was displayed on the screens available in the hotels (elevators, reception…), on the website of each hotel, on social media and was also used as a support for business presentations and tour operators.
As we are aware of the great impact of social media for online communication, we adjusted the size of the videos to Instagram -Facebook, etc. and create segmented campaigns especially thought for the capsule videos.
The photographs were used as well for the creation of marketing campaigns.
